Telephone Information and Support Service (TISS) TISS is for anyone who has questions about ME/CFS/FMS or who just needs to talk to an understanding person. It is staffed by volunteers who can answer questions - for example, on where to find a sympathetic doctor, counsellor or natural therapist; applying for disability benefits; etc.- or "just listen". There's a lot of information support and advice available these days through the Internet (see Penpals, Mailing Lists and Places to Talk ). But if you ever feel the need to have a real and immediate voice to talk to on any aspect of your CFS/FMS experience, or if your issues are too personal to be aired on a mailing list, TISS is there. Just ring SHOUT on 6290 1984 and leave a message and a TISS volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can. Or, if you don't feel up to talking to someone in person, email your questions to support@mecfscanberra.org.au and SHOUT staff will forward it to a TISS volunteer who can reply to you by email. Top
