New! Chrysalis for young people 12-25
OzME is a mailing list for people with CFS/CFIDS/ME, FMS, or anything closely related - eg Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) - and for people who have some interest in these diseases, such as parents, children, spouses and carers. As the list's name suggests, the focus is on Australia and New Zealand. The group is for support, information sharing, and discussion of medical issues, activism etc.
To ask to join ....
For OzMe list rules and tips for this and other lists, see the OzME Help Page.
OzME-Chat is a social forum where OzME members can exchange chatty posts that would be off-topic on the main OzME list. To subscribe online, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OzMEchat/ and click on "join this group". OzME-Chat is run by Nola.
CDANET is an Australian based discussion, chat, and mutual help e-mail list for the general use of Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) sufferers or otherwise chemically disabled persons, and their service providers and helpers. CDANET (Chemically Disabled Australia NETwork) has been created by Don Ludlow (Qld) and can be subscribed to by visiting the special webpage http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CDANET and following the easy on-screen prompts.
The list is Australian based, but as Chemical Disability is a worldwide problem people from other countries are most welcome. If you have MCS or are otherwise disabled by chemical exposures or help those with a chemical disability you are most welcome to join.
CFSHAN is "a free service available at Yahoo Groups and moderated by Jonathan Wilson in Victoria. CFSHAN seeks to service each state/territory of Australia. Its success will depend on how many people use each states site. It can enable communication between sufferers specifically with CFS related illnesses regarding their accommodation needs." There is a Yahoo group for each State where people can seek or offer accommodation.
This group is for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FM/FMS) or other related illnesses such as MCS who are working in paid work - either at home or out of home. We are here to support, encourage and help each other. If you are a person with one of these illnesses and are not working but would still like to join, please do. Just be aware that many of the conversations may revolve around working. However, those of us that work need your support as well.
Lurking is not permitted as it makes some people uncomfortable, so members are required to post at least once a month unless your illness prevents you from doing so. We also do not allow advertising (for payment or involvement) of 'cures', treatments or campaigns, though please let us know if something has worked for you. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/working_with_cfs
Understanding, support and activism! This is a group where people with the neurological, cardiac, immune and neuroendocrine illness ME/CFS can meet other people with the same illness for advice, support (occasional much needed venting-sessions!) and new friendships...... and perhaps even some small political/activism discussions and brainstorming on the side too - illness allowing anyway. Join here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ME-CFIDS-CFSers_United/
